Bajaj Auto has introduced the ’35 Series’ of its Chetak electric scooter, which includes three variants: the Chetak 3501, 3502, and 3503. The series is named for its 3.5 kWh battery capacity and aims to establish a leadership position in the Indian e-scooter market.
The new models are designed for comfort, offering larger boot space and shorter charging times. Additionally, Bajaj plans to export the Chetak e-scooter to international markets in the upcoming fiscal year.

The Chetak 2901 comes in five colors: red, white, black, lime yellow, and azure blue. Bookings are open on the company’s website, and retail sales start June 15 at over 500 showrooms nationwide.
The model is designed to attract customers who are currently buying petrol scooters. It offers a full-size metal-body electric scooter that matches and surpasses the performance of petrol scooters without straining their pockets.
The new model features a full navigation screen, digital document storage, a music player, Bluetooth connectivity, a speed lock setting, and a theft alert.
This launch establishes the Chetak 2901 as a competitive option in the electric two-wheeler market, appealing to consumers seeking affordable and efficient commuting solutions.
The Chetak 2901 has a 2.8 kWh battery pack that offers an ARAI-certified range of 123 km per charge and a top speed of 63 km/h. It has a robust metal body and advanced tech features, including a coloured digital console, alloy wheels, and Bluetooth connectivity.
Customers can also opt for the TecPac upgrade, which offers hill hold, reverse, sport, economy modes, call and music control, a follow-me-home light, and Bluetooth app connectivity.
Bajaj Auto has garnered a 27.6% market share in the Indian e-scooter market and plans to start exporting the Chetak e-scooter to international markets, including Spain, Brazil, and Bangladesh, within the next six months.
Eric Vas, President of Bajaj Auto’s Urbanite Business Unit, said the ’35 Series’ has been designed to attract young riders by combining advanced technology with neo-classic style.
